Regulation Updates for March:
1. The original regulatory authority in charge of certification in Seychelle has changed from the Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) to the Seychelles Communications Regulatory Authority (SCRA).
2. Tanzania authority (TCRA) requires that all approved equipment to affix a label physically or electronically (e-label) or embedded. Labels may also be on packaging and/or included in the manual, but it is not obligatory unless, due to product size or design constraints, it is mandatory to affix the label to both the package and the user documentation accompanying the product.
3. India TEC published Notification No.5-5/2021-TC/TEC on January 8, 2024, announcing a generic exemption from the submission of test reports for test parameters on the below products until June 30, 2024.
4. Brazil ANATEL issued Act 915 on February 1, 2024, changing the power limit for the 1900MHz band of WWAN 2G in Act 16539 from 24dBm to 33dBm.
