Regulation Updates for July:

1. The authority MPT in Laos published Regulation No. 1495 on May 29, 2023, regarding new labelling requirement and design.

2. Chile authority SUBTEL expanded the FM band from 76MHz to 108MHz on May 16, 2023. Previously issued certificates are not affected.

3. Argentina authority ENACOM has allocated WIFI 6E (5925 MHz–7125 MHz) since May 16, 2023 however currently labs are not ready yet so unable to test/certify.

4. Iraq authority CMC now accepts family certificates, all models should have the same technical specification and be in the same report, the maximum number of models in one certificate is four. In addition, any wireless or wired telecommunications equipment needs a type approval certificate. Some example of wired device include router, switches, modem, etc.

5. On June 12, 2023, India BIS issued an update notice about parallel testing, extended the period of parallel from June 30, 2023 to December 31, 2023, also added new categories: a) Wireless headphone and earphone, b) Laptop/notebook/tablet.

6. India TEC updated labelling requirements on May 22, 2023.

7. Vietnam MIC released Circular No. 04/2023/TT-BTTTT on May 31, 2023, which shall replace Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BTTTT, and take effect on July 15, 2023.

8. Vietnam MOIT issued new VNEEP product list from May 23, 2023, adding new products that need to energy efficiency and updated some applicable standards. Although the enforcement date is April 1, 2025, a guidance for voluntary applications will be released for advanced applications.
