Regulation Updates for June:
1. On May 23rd, 2023, South Africa authority ICASA updated the WIFI 6E band to 5925-6425MHz.
2. India authority MeitY published that, from April 26th, 2025 the BIS application of TV set shall comply with standard IS 18112:2022 Digital Television Receiver for Satellite Broadcast Transmission – Specification. In the current BIS application of TV set, only safety standard IS 616 is required.
3. India authority TEC exempt some parameters for Essential Requirements (ER) of three categories such as session border controllers until June 30th, 2023.
4. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board update the HS code lists (CU TR 004/2011 and CU TR 020/2011), this change reduces misunderstandings and ambiguity, and is effective from April 16th, 2023.
5. The Papua New Guinea authority NICTA has changed certificate validity from permanent to 3 years. Although recent certificates issued are still indefinite, the new validity may be enforced at any time.
6. Argentina authority ENACOM issued new Resolution 586/2023 on May 8th, 2023, allowing new options for label placements.
