      Analysis of Consumer Products Recall Cases (December 2022)

      In December 2022, there were totally 16 consumer products recalled cases (excluding toys, electrical appliances and textiles) from EU Rapex system. As for country of origin, three were from Turkey, one was from Bulgaria, one was from Vietnam, one was from France, two were unknown, the rest were all from mainland of China. 

      There were 3 products (inflatable baby swimming float, Pencil case) cases were recalled that contain excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), this phthalate may harm the health f children, possibly causing damage to their reproductive system.

      There were 2 recalled cases from America, as for country of origin, one was from Vietnam, one was from mainland of China.
      There were 4 recalled cases from Canada, as for country of origin, one was from Italy, one was from Vietnam, one was from Taiwan of China, one was from mainland of China.
      There were 2 recalled cases from Australia, which the country of origin was unknow.
