In April 2022, there were totally 114 consumer products recalled cases (excluding toys, electrical appliances and textiles from EU Rapex system). As for country of origin, one was from New Zealand, one was from Netherlands, two were from USA, one was from Austria, one was from Italy, one was from Bulgaria, one was from Portugal, one was from Turkey, five were from Poland, one was from Latvia, one was from UK, two were from France, forty-nine were unknown, the rest were all from mainland of China. A total of 71 jewelry products have been recalled because of excessive levels of the heavy metals cadmium and lead, cadmium can accumulate in the body, damage kidneys and bones and can cause cancer. Lead can induce developmental neurotoxicity and can also harm unborn or lactating children.
There were 4 recalled cases from America, as for country of origin, one was from Netherlands, one was unknown, two were from mainland of China.
There were 7 recalled cases from Canada, as for country of origin, one was from Netherlands, one was from Canada, one was from USA, four were from mainland of China.
There were 2 recalled cases from Australia, which the country of origin was unknown.
