Regulation Updates for September

1. On July 24, 2024, Korea RRA has issued Notice No. 2024-12, updating the schemes of type approval by separating SDOC from Registration into a new category Self Confirmation. SDOC is mainly applied for products without RF function.

2. Chile SEC issued Decision No. 24063, new standard PE Nº 1/38:2022 for external batteries and chargers for household or similar use shall be effective September 30th, 2024.

3. On July 1, 2024, India TEC exempted the GPS parameter requirement for all applicable ERs until September 30th, 2024

4. Bahrain TRA announced on July 28, 2024, allowing the use of Next-Generation Wi-Fi 7 products.

5. Oman TRA changed certificate validity from permanent to 4 years starting August 18, 2024. Previously issued certificates will be affected as well. Additionally, a new label has been announced.

6. Tanzania TCRA amended technical specifications and allowed new frequency bands to be used which are already effective.

7. Indonesia SDPPI issued regulation No. 260/2024 regarding Short Range Devices (SRD) which was effective since August 11, 2024 and replaced regulation No. 161/2019.
