New Certification Updates for April
1. The Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) rebranded itself last year and now officially updated the label requirements.
2. The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) issued an announcement that test report with respect to the Energy Consumption Rating (ECR) parameter shall be made mandatory from January 1st, 2023, but detailed testing standards is not published yet. In additional, the 5 products below are also temporarily removed from the list for compulsory certification.
3. Syrian Telecommunications & Post Regulatory Authority (SY-TPRA) certificates now have a new template which is already implemented.
4. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) published the Regulatory Framework for Short Range Devices (SRD) & Terrestrial Internet of Things (IoT) Services. In addition, they will start accepting applications for Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) from March 31st, 2022.
5. On March 8th, 2022, Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) published Resolution 280/2022 which includes updates of SRD low frequency band and testing standard for Low Power Devices (LPD).
