The European Commission has published the COMMISSION DELEGATED DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/863 and RoHS 2.0 is updated, which added the four new restricted substances on Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), Benzyl butyl phthalate ( BBP) , Di-butyl phthalate (DBP) and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
The EU countries shall apply those provisions from 22 July 2019, medical devices, monitoring and control instruments from 22 July 2021. In order to avoid double regulation ,the restriction through entry 51 of Annex XVII to REACH shall continue to be the only restriction applicable to DEHP, BBP and DBP in toys.
