NEW《 MANAGEMENT METHODS 》OFFICIALLY ISSUED

On January 21, 2016, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People‘s Republic of  China （MIIT） officially issued “Management Methods for  the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic product” . The new management methods  reserve a transitional period and will come into force from July 1, 2016. Then "The Management Methods for Controlling Pollution by Electronic Information Products”issued on February 28, 2006 will be abolished. In this period，MIIT will focus on the relevant implementation preparation work, and for the enterprises easy understand and follow the relevant requirenment of the "measures" MIIT will further response enterprises' high concern issues through the way such as interpretation material, question and answer list, etc.

Extend the scope and change the name

The "measures" ” extend the scope from  electronic information products to electrical and electronic products, and modify the name as“Management Methods for  the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic product”. defined "electrical and electronic product."as well.

Expand the range of  restrictions of hazardous substances.

“The Management Methods” refers to the EU RoHS directive and the common practice of other countries, increase the restriction of the use of hazardous substances.  “Lead", “Mercury" , “Cadmium” and “hexavalent chromium were changed to "lead and its compounds”, “mercury” and its compounds,” “ cadmium and its compounds,” "hexavalent chromium compounds”.

Increase the stipulate of science and technology, fiscal policy support.

“The Management Methods” stipulate: Country encourages the scientific research, technological development and international cooperation of the restriction of the use of hazardous substances. Actively promote the technology and equipment for substitution and reduction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic product.

Improve the management mode of the restruction of hazardous substances

Reference the directory management and establish conformity assessment system. Related department will prepare the "reach standard management directory". At the same time, electric and electronic products is included  in "reach standard management directory" will be management according to the system of conformity assessment
