Regulation Updates for October:
1. Reminding on CTI January 2023 Newsletter: The India test standard IS 1293:2019 (Plugs and Socket Outlets for household and similar purposes of rated Voltage up to and including 250 V and rated current up to and including 16 A) will replace IS 1293:2005 on October 23rd, 2023.
2. Updating November 2022 Newsletter: Brazil ANATEL issued new Act 13011 on September 1, 2023, regarding the mandatory implementation date of testing requirements for Mobile phone chargers in Act 5159. Act 5159 will now replace Act 3481 on April 14, 2024, instead of October 21, 2023.
3. Singapore IMDA released new technical specifications for Short Range Devices (SRD) with main updates, effective September 23, 2023.
4. Singapore CPSO issued official circular CPSO-070923-11 on September 7, 2023. AC adaptors that can deliver >100W to connected equipment, are classified as Controlled Goods and are required to comply with relevant safety standards such as IEC 62368-1.
5. Singapore CSA issued on September 22, 2023, a second method of obtaining labels for Level 1 and Level 2 applications.
6. Argentina ENACOM published Resolution 1134/2023 on August 18th, 2023, for Level Probing Radars (LPR) and Tank Level Probing Radars (TLPR) operating on the 76-81GHz band. The applicable standard is ENACOM-Q2-64.02 V22.1.
7. Malaysia MCMC released a new version of the Class Assignment August 28, 2023. The main update is regarding WIFI 6E.
8. Palestine MTIT now allows the usage of WiFi 6E (5945MHz – 6425MHz) for wireless access systems.
9. Vietnam MIC issued Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT on September 5, 2023, temporarily suspending some technical standards from Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT.
